Evidence tells us that the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine is very safe and causes few serious side effects. We still recommend that you receive your vaccine.

“Evidence tells us that the AstraZeneca vaccine is very safe and caused few serious side effects. The UK has a robust reporting system and after 11 million doses, we haven’t seen any association between the AstraZeneca vaccine and blood clots. A clot in the leg or lung is a very common problem generally. The vaccine is preventing elderly people coming to hospital with COVID-19. There’s no good reason to stop the programme, which needs to be rolled out as quickly as possible”.
