Lisa Stoddart

Head nurse

I have been a nurse for 30 years. My background is Diabetes Nursing and I have been at Aspen as a practice nurse for four years. I have recently taken on the Head Nurse role, managing a great team of nurses.

Debra Sibley

Deputy head nurse

I’ve been nursing for 37 years. My back ground was as a District Nurse for 29 years. I am a deputy head nurse supporting Lisa and our great team of Nurses.

Geraldine Lane

I qualified as an Adult Nurse in 2017 joining the team at London Medical Practice prior to the merge. I am married with two girls and work full time. I belong to a local community choir and enjoy spending quality time with family both here and in Ireland.

Sharon Cann

After qualifying as an adult nurse in 1985, I worked for several years on children’s wards. I moved into practice nursing 13 years ago and have enjoyed running the childhood immunisation clinics, as well as taking on more general nursing duties. I have two daughters, the eldest is training to be a children’s nurse and her youngest will be starting university in September.

Morag Brown

I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1992 at East Hertfordshire School of Nursing. My background has mainly been in surgical nursing before specialising in Anticoagulation. I joined Aspen Medical Practice in August 2019 to take on a new role in the Practice a Results Nurse Team Leader, I have also been able to continue my passion caring for patients on Anticoagulant medication. I was brought up in Stroud and relocated back to Gloucestershire in 2018. I now enjoy exploring the area this time with my rescue dog Tilly and have a large garden with plans to grow my own fruit and vegetables.

Catherine Peate

I qualified as a nurse in 2009. After working in acute care I spent a number of years working as a research nurse, firstly working with patients with multiple sclerosis, then dementia. I am new to primary care and enjoying my new role as results nurse. I continue to be interested in research and hope to help get Aspen patients involved in research in the future. I’m also interested in improving health through lifestyle changes. Outside of work my two young children keep me busy, and I teach yoga.

Hannah Harkins

I qualified as a nurse in 2013 and I have a background in Acute Emergency Care and Public Health School Nursing. I have always been and continue to be passionate about nursing, delivering high quality care to my patients and learning new skills. I am new to Primary Care and am enjoying and learning about my new role as a Results Nurse. Outside of work I live with my husband, 3 year old daughter and our dog Brodie, so life is never dull!

Emily White

I have recently joined the Aspen Medical Practice as a Results HCA. I am enjoying learning new skills to further my knowledge. I have previously worked as a Domiciliary HCA providing care and support to the elderly for 6 years. I then decided I would like to try something different but still within the care industry, so I began working at National Star College supporting young disabled adults for past 5 years. I absolutely love offering support to others and couldn’t imagine not working within the care industry. When I’m not a work I am full time Mum to my two daughters Darcey 14 and Dolly 10.

Hazel Newman

I have recently joined the team at Aspen Medical Practice. My background is mostly in elderly care in the private sector and most recently as a Community Nurse. I am looking forward to gaining new skills and knowledge as part of the caring Practice Nurse Team.

Georgina Boucher

I joined Aspen in 2022 after spending over 10 years in primary care at the local hospitals, working in a variety of settings but mainly in orthopaedics and acute care. I have loved the change of environment, skills and perspective that primary care offers, but I do like to keep my hand in at GRH working shifts most weeks! I enjoy all the skills that a Practice Nurse offers – I am also one of the respiratory nurses here at Aspen as well as having a vested interest in women’s health. When I am not at work I love to travel to new places with my fiancé & spend time with our Labrador Willow.

Ruby Clapton  

I qualified in December 2022, and started at Aspen in January 2023. I have previously worked as a HCA within a variety of Hospital settings. I have become part of the Respiratory Team at Aspen and enjoy all the aspects and skills as a Practice Nurse. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with both my family and friends, and my two dogs Tom & Jerry.

Helen Cook

After working as a hairdresser for 12 years I decided I wanted a carer change and went into care. I worked in a Nursing home for six years before joining Heathville Medical Practice as HCA. Four years on I still love my job and now working as part of the Aspen team. I enjoy most aspects of my job especially wound care and leg ulcers. When I am not at work I am spending time with my husband, three boys and our Cockapoo Maisie.

I have worked as a HCA for 14 years. Working at Aspen Medical Centre since it first opened as part of a brilliant nursing team. I have one son who loves sports. I have one cat and enjoy walking my dog.

Sarah Hewlett

I have worked with adults with learning disabilities for 15 years. I worked on the wards as an HCA and phlebotomist previously. I have worked with Saintbridge Surgery and now Aspen Medical Practice for the past two years.

I am originally from South Africa, been in the UK for 15 years. I live here with my husband and two sons. I’ve been in the nursing profession since 1992, working in the UK as a Healthcare Assistant. In my spare time, I like to go for long walks with my dogs. Going on charity rides with my husband on the back of his motorcycle.

I have worked in the care sector for 17 years, firstly working with service users with both physical and learning difficulties. I had my Daughter and took a couple of years out enjoying precious time with her before getting a job in childcare, working at her playgroup. I then worked in a residential home for the elderly for 9 years before starting at the Aspen Medical Practice. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

I am originally from Wales. Moved to Gloucester to do my nurse training & stayed. I have three grown up sons & eight grandchildren who keep me very busy when I’m not at work. I’ve returned to nursing after caring for my late husband. I really enjoy singing in a local community choir and have many craft hobbies. . 

Kelly Hannis

Practice Nurse

I have been part of a health care team for more than 20 years with varying roles across a wide range of patient groups. I have been a qualified nurse for just over a year, before joining the team at Aspen I was a community nurse based in Cheltenham. I have always worked in the care sector and was able to complete my nurse training as an apprenticeship first by becoming a registered nursing associate then progressing onto the nurse top up degree this gave me the opportunity to experience a variety of nurse roles. In my spare time I love a good game of netball and play 3 times a week, on the weekends I enjoy long walks with my husband, and spending time with my family and friends. I am enjoying the chance to learn and develop new skills with the support of the nursing at Aspen and have joined the respiratory team.
