Shingles Vaccination

If you are invited for the shingles vaccination it is really important that you attend. Shingles is a condition where the chicken pox virus is reactivated in the nerve. This causes a painful blistering rash and patients often feel unwell. Sadly for some, the pain persists even after the rash has resolved.

We have been advised that patients who turned 80 during the pandemic and were unable to attend can now be vaccinated as part of a catch up campaign until the 31st July.

It is very important that you do not have the shingles vaccine within seven days of the covid-19 vaccine.

Please call and book an appointment with reception after 11am on 01452 337733 if you have been invited for your shingles vaccine or are in the catch up group.
