GP Earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the Mean net earnings (e.g. Average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. This is required in the interests of the greater public accountability recognising GP pay is ultimately funded from tax paid by the public.*

Barnwood Medical Practice:

The average pay for GPs working in Barnwood Medical Practice in the last financial year was £60,835 before tax and national insurance. This is for two full-time GPs, three part-time GPs and 0 locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.

* The Aspen Centre merger happened recently (with Barnwood Medical Practice) and so there is not yet data available on the merger’s combined earnings for the financial year 2016/17. One of the merged practice’s individual report for 2015/16 is presented instead.
