Health coaching groups

For some people, attending the diabetes and prediabetes education sessions provides lots of helpful information but knowing where to begin with lifestyle changes can still feel overwhelming.

If that sounds familiar, our health coaching groups can help.

These sessions focus on turning knowledge into action, helping you make realistic, sustainable changes to improve your health and wellbeing.

What to expect

The groups are led by Matt, our health coach, who supports people to:

  • Break health goals into small, manageable steps
  • Build healthy habits gradually
  • Stay motivated through consistency and repetition
  • Develop confidence in making lifestyle changes

No matter how big the goal may feel, small changes done consistently can lead to meaningful improvements.

A supportive group environment

Sessions are friendly, relaxed, and supportive. Many people find encouragement not only from Matt, but also from others on a similar journey.

You can attend as often as you like, there’s no requirement to come every week.

When
Thursdays, 6:30pm to 8pm (most weeks)

Where
Aspen Centre meeting room (2nd floor)

Monthly combined support session

Once a month, Matt runs a session together with Millie from the Eat Real Food Patient Support Group.

These sessions combine:

  • Health coaching
  • Practical lived experience
  • Peer support

Patients often report positive changes in motivation, confidence, and daily habits after attending.
